Artists statement
As an artist I am intrigued by the plethora of media one can use to create into works of art.
While completing my training and certifications in advanced composites fabrication I began experimenting with and developing methods for painting on carbon fiber panels.

While I saw some painting being done on carbon fiber, mostly associated with automobiles and motorcycles I made it my pursuit to develop painting techniques that would take the art of painting on carbon fiber to a whole new level.

The techniques I have developed are applicable to fine art as well as the graphic art used on cars and motorcycles.
When creating works of art on carbon fiber my canvas becomes a visual integral element in my paintings.

The paintings I create are comprised of many layers of vivid pigments combined with metallic and pearls. The paint is layered on the carbon fiber and resin panel. Often the layers are themselves suspended in lacquer layers.

With the beautiful weaves of the carbon fiber cloth, the resin and the painted layers the paintings really pop and sometimes take on an almost holographic appearance.

The visual depth of the paintings are totally unique, unlike any other combinations of mediums I have ever worked with.
I have had individuals agree that with changing light and visual angles you will always see the painting differently.

I am teaching others my techniques. The kits I offer include a instructional CD with sample panels of carbon fiber ready to paint on.
